“The usage/preparation neglected to mention that you can make small insicions in the stem and a milky white sap will come out much like opium (why it's called opium lettuce) and you just get some to drip on your knife and transfer it to a bowl let it dry and then smoke up!!! Also it grows all over the Northeast United States not just in the South....I thought it was just like opium too, even tastes a bit like opium.”

“Well I have to say this is a very very interesting herb.
I made the gom it took a while but its so worth it. I vaporize it in a smoking bubble (like the vapo2 here at azarius). It isn't harsh on the lungs and its a nice cool smoke tastes pretty good BUT the effects aren't that strong (for me that is). Makes me kinda floaty so as said before don't expect to get blown away.
Now I tried something i found on the internet its called black-bombey. What you do is you roll a joint (or fill a cone which was easier to my opinion) with a mixture of hash and wild lettuce gom. Be carefull though it hits you like a giant hammer. The smoke is good and since a joint isn't a direct flame the heat vaporizes the wild lettuce gom before it gets burned. I use a mixture of tobacco, hash and gom. the hash and the gom are in the same amounts. don't take to much tough try small amounts (i used 1/4 of a gram hash and an amount of gom the size of a big pea). divided it into lots of fragments filled my cone with the hash, tobacco and lettuce gom and smoked it. it was heavy i fellt it fast and i smoke weed and hash on a very regular basis. its just a great thing to do if you don't make it to heavy cause that is just hard you will be completely paralized as a matter of speech.
anyway try it you'll be amazed
greetings ”

“this is sweet. really really nice stuff:) the tea itself is quite nice, but even better if you go through the hassle of making the gummy stuff. it's a bit tedious and messy, and you're not left with much, but what you're left with is nice! REALLY helps with the sleep, and even the buzzing in my ears. TASTES LOVELY too, and leaves you're room smelling nice:) would describe it as a relaxed calm. it's definetely a MILD effect, i wouldn't say you get a "high" off it, so if that's what you're after you might be disappointed. but not "mild" as in unnoticeable, just leaves you feeling relaxed and floaty. it's just a gentle, warm soft sleepyness it brings on. together with half a glass or so of wine, the best sleep you ever had! or just lie on your bed listening to music, erases all nervous thoughts. NICE! ”
