Tea Black Darjeeling Selim Hill

This tea is coming from one of the numerous tea estates in the surroundings of Darjeeling.

The fine quality and flavor has resulted in a worldwide reputation for its excellence. It is the most expensive and exotically flavoured tea there is. Darjeeling Tea is widely and universally acknowledged to be the finest tea, because its flavour is so unique that it cannot be replicated. It comes from Darjeeling in West Bengal, India. Connoisseurs will assert that without Darjeeling, "tea would be like wine without the prestige of champagne."
The tea is grown at the elevation of 750 - 2000 meter in old tea gardens. Sometimes, it takes over 10 years before the leaves are ready to be plucked. The taste of Darjeeling varies with the seasons. The first flush produces astringent flavour teas and the second flush produces a more mature and lasting flavour.
Darjeeling tea has traditionally been prized above all other black teas, especially in the UK and the countries comprising the former British Empire. When properly brewed it yields a thin-bodied, light-colored liquor with a floral aroma a tinge of astringent tannic characteristics, and a musky spiciness often referred to by tea connoisseurs as "muscatel." A sweet cooling aftertaste should be felt on the mouth.

“It´s a very fine tea indeed. It has a smooth yet complex flavour and a gentle bitterness.
It tastes like a tea should taste.
The only negative thing about it is that it has to brew for such a long time and I usually don´t have the patiance.
